The story that inspired this painting:

They are the guardians of nursery heaven. Every baby destined for earth, along with the storks that carry them, cannot pass through the golden gates without receiving their blessings. The angels, with their vibrant, multicolored wings, bestow kisses upon each baby. As their wings flutter, they generate a magical energy that fills the babies with vitality, health, and happiness. After each kiss, the little angels release a golden star from their ankles, sending it into the sky. We all have a star up there—it’s just waiting for us to look up and find it.
